The ethnic group or groups that a person identifies with or feels they belong to. An ethnic group is a social group whose members have some or all of the following characteristics: sharing a sense of common origins; claiming a common and distinctive history and destiny; possessing one or more dimensions of collective cultural individuality; feeling a sense of unique collective solidarity.
