• The company was founded in 1934 in Aspropyrgos Attika with a daily production of 60 T of clinker.
• By 1980, the production of clinker came up to 800 T per day.
• In 1980, a significant procedure of upgrading and improvement of the installations began, which led to the increase of the daily production of clinker to 1,500 T.
• In 1990 the company is acquired by Ciments Francais.
• In 1992, after the acquisition of Ciments Francais by the Italian group Italcementi, it is renamed Halyps Building Materials S.A., having already incorporated the Anagnostakis quarries of raw materials, what is today Halyps Quarries.
• After continuous improvements, today’s potential of clinker production comes up to 2,000 T/day, and the annual potential of cement production has come up, from 530,000 T in 1991, to 1,000,000 T in 2004.
